Okanagan Wineries

 

There are currently 136 grape wineries throughout British Columbia's five wine regions.  Fourteen new winery licenses are also pending.   These websites will help you plan your wine tour throughout the Okanagan:

The British Columbia Wine Institute also has an extensive website offering information about the wines, wineries and wine tours of BC.  Their website also includes many fun facts.

The Okanagan has four major wine festivals during the year.  The Spring, Summer, Fall & Ice Wine Festivals draw record crowds and are often sold-out events.  Hundreds of activities take place.

The Okanagan is booming with art & cultural opportunities, and this website is a great place to start.  It highlights many of the area's festivals & events, art galleries, musuems, hertitage & agricultural sites, performing arts, wineries & Aboriginal experiences.

Particularly from May until Fall, there are numerous festivals and events to attend throughout the valley.  The region's official tourism websites list many of the festivities taking place in the Thompson-Okanagan.

The Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen offers hundreds of breathtaking hiking & biking opportunities.  The District's website is a wealth of information about the regions trail system and includes interactive satellite maps and reviews.  If you enjoy the great outdoors, this website is a must.
